KSU Lithuania · A guide for Pakistani students
KSU International University, formerly Kazimieras Simonavičius University, is a private university in Vilnius with English-taught degrees in business, aviation, fashion, film and communication — no mandatory English certificate, but a recorded interview and a large first payment instead.
Many students researching how to study in Lithuania end up asking the same things about KSU: the real cost, what to submit, and how tough the interview is. This guide answers them with figures from KSU’s own admission pages, so you can judge the fit against your budget and visa plan.
- €4,900BA Business Management, per year
- €7,350First payment for that bachelor’s, covering 1.5 years
- €250Application fee, non-refundable
- RecordedInterview on the admission portal
Fees are from KSU’s programme pages for the Fall 2027/28 intake, checked on 10 October 2026. KSU can change them between intakes.
What Is KSU?

International students apply to the Vilnius campus through the official website of Kazimieras Simonavičius University (KSU International University).
It is a different institution from the (public) Vilnius University, mentioned later only as a fee comparison.

KSU Fees: What You Will Actually Pay
KSU quotes tuition per semester, then asks for several semesters upfront — that first payment, not the annual fee, is the number to plan around. The blue blocks below show how many semesters it covers.
| Programme | Annual tuition | First payment | It covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| BA Business Management | €4,900€2,450 per semester | €7,350 | 3 semesters, 1.5 years |
| BA Aviation Management | €6,000 | €9,000 | 3 semesters, 1.5 years |
| MBA (one year) | €6,900€3,450 per semester | €6,900 | 2 semesters, 1 year |
| MA Aviation Management | €8,000€4,000 per semester, 1.5-year programme | €8,000 | 2 of 3 semesters |
Source: KSU programme pages on apply.ksu.lt, checked 10 October 2026. Other programmes have their own fees, so open the programme page and select Pakistan as your citizenship to see the amount that applies to you. MA Aviation Management is offered both on-site and online, so make sure you apply to the on-site version if you plan to study in Vilnius.
For the bachelor’s programmes checked, KSU requires the full 1.5-year amount paid upfront to be accepted and to take part in the Temporary Residence Permit process (this depends on intake — always confirm on your programme page). For the master’s programmes, it’s two semesters. The MBA is the shortest route to a master’s, with lower total tuition than the 1.5-year options, and KSU describes it as built for experienced professionals, so be ready to speak to your work history.
Vilnius University lists its Management bachelor’s at €3,660 a year, against €4,900 for KSU’s Business Management.
Other costs to plan for
Tuition is not the only bill. The €250 application fee is paid only through Flywire after your file is reviewed. A tuition bank transfer can take up to 2 weeks, and you also pay your own bank charges. A dormitory room needs a deposit plus the first month on a 10-month or 1-year contract, with the price list on KSU’s site. Keep a separate budget for the TRP, VFS, insurance and document attestation, and check the current amounts before paying.

Is KSU Actually Recognized and Accredited?
Yes. KSU is a private, state-accredited university. The official evaluation list published by Lithuania’s Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC) shows its latest institutional accreditation dated 6 February 2024, for a term of 7 years (checked October 2026). Accreditation is a legal quality status, not a league-table position, so judge KSU on programme fit, fees and your own career plan.
How to Verify KSU Before You Pay
Instead of relying on anonymous reviews, which neither KSU nor we can verify, run four checks yourself. Each one takes minutes and gives you something you can show your family.
Do all four checks below before you transfer any money.
First, check the accreditation: open the SKVC evaluation reports page and look for Kazimieras Simonavičius University and its latest accreditation date. Second, confirm your programme: open it on apply.ksu.lt, select Pakistan as citizenship, and note the fee, intake and requirements shown for you. Third, get the terms in writing: ask admissions to confirm the first payment, what it covers, and the refund conditions. Fourth, talk to a real student: ask the International Office to connect you with a current or former international student, then compare what you hear with the written terms.
KSU Admission Requirements for Pakistani Students
Apply online, attach your documents and passport, then wait for the file to be reviewed. This is your checklist, with the attestation KSU expects for Pakistan.
| Document | Applies to | Attestation path |
|---|---|---|
| SSC certificate and marks | Bachelor’s | IBCC |
| HSSC certificate and marks Originals | Bachelor’s | IBCC→Foreign Affairs |
| Degree and full transcript Plus secondary education documents | Master’s | HEC→Foreign Affairs |
| Passport copy | Everyone | Add proof of any name change |
| Motivation letter | Everyone | Required on the pages we checked |
| English translation | If not in English | Official translation |
KSU updates its Pakistan requirements, so check the current document before you start attestation. Final-year students can submit their latest transcript with a certificate confirming when the final one arrives.
Subject and grade rules
Subjects. Business programmes need Mathematics plus one other subject in the final school year; a science or IT subject can replace Mathematics, and commerce students can use a commerce subject. Fashion and Communication accept any two subjects.
Master’s degree. Programmes ask for a Management, Business or Social Sciences degree, and Strategic Communication accepts Communication and Social Sciences degrees.
Limited profiles and length. An Associate Engineer diploma, or an HSSC with a commerce profile, opens related programmes only. A 2-year BA, BSc or BCom alone counts as part of bachelor’s studies.
Offers depend on your interview result and on recognition of your foreign qualifications. Bachelor’s applicants are ranked by their HSSC grade average, and master’s applicants by their degree grades.
English Requirements: No Certificate Needed, But English Is Tested
On the programme pages checked, KSU says an English certificate is optional, not mandatory — your English is instead judged in the recorded interview, including pronunciation, clarity and how well you communicate.
OptionalEnglish certificate. Submit it if you have one; it supports your file but does not replace the interview.
Not mentionedMOI letter. KSU’s pages do not mention MOI, so ask the admission team in writing before relying on it.
Always assessedRecorded interview. Prepare for it seriously, because it is where your English is actually judged.
The Recorded Interview: Your Real Entry Exam
For most applicants, this stage decides the file. Once your application is reviewed and the fee is paid, admissions contacts you to arrange it, and you record your answers through the admission system.
Your motivation letter should cover four points, and your answers must match it and your documents:
- Test your camera, mic and connection in a quiet, well-lit room.
- Practise aloud with someone who gives honest feedback, and avoid a memorised script.
- Read your programme page so you can name specifics.
- Never claim anything your documents do not support.

When Can Pakistani Students Actually Apply?
For BA Business Management, Fall 2027/28 applications open 5 November 2026, close 1 March 2027, with studies starting 1 October 2027. The Spring 2027 intake has already closed. Other programmes run their own calendars.
Dates and availability are shown by citizenship on the portal, so select Pakistan on apply.ksu.lt before planning around any date. If a programme shows closed for Pakistan, ask admissions about the next intake rather than assuming it’s an error.
KSU and the Lithuania Student Permit
Pakistani students who want to study in Lithuania need a study-based Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) before travelling. KSU advises non-EEA students to apply in their home country or a neighbouring one with a VFS Global office, for a TRP issued for one to two years, and its International Office supports the process.
Once your file is reviewed, pay the €250 fee through Flywire, and admissions will contact you to arrange the recorded interview. Next comes the first tuition payment shown on your programme page (all payments must be settled before the course starts), then the TRP application through VFS Global with the documents KSU issues. At the end, bring your original documents, sign the study agreement and join orientation week.
Typical TRP items are a valid passport, KSU’s admission documents, attested education documents, proof of funds, health insurance and accommodation proof. The Migration Department and VFS set the exact list and amounts, and weak financial proof or mismatched details are common reasons files struggle.
If your permit is refused after an acceptance letter, the refund decision weighs the Migration Department’s reasons, and a €500 administration fee plus bank charges are deducted.

Work, Scholarships and Life After Study
Work. Students on a study TRP can generally work part-time under Lithuanian rules, and since amendments to the Law on the Legal Status of Foreigners took effect on 22 May 2026, your weekly limit depends on your year of study:
So if you start a KSU bachelor’s, plan around 20 hours a week for your first two years. The conditions are set by the Migration Department and can change, so confirm the current rules before you plan around wages, and never count on them to pay tuition.

Scholarships. KSU publishes its scholarship terms on its website; they change, so check the current rules before relying on any discount.
After graduation. Lithuania allows former students a permit to look for work; the duration and deadline are set by the Migration Department, so check early in your final year.
So, Should You Apply to KSU?
Run this quick go-or-pause check. Go means KSU can work for you, and Pause means fix it first.
Also confirm that your citizenship is open for your chosen programme and intake. There’s no single best Lithuanian university — the right choice matches your profile, budget, English level and visa file. KSU can be that match, but it should be a chosen one, not a default.
