Cost of Studying MBBS in China

The yearly cost of studying MBBS in China is between 20,600 RMB and 35,000 RMB. The exact fee depends on the university and whether the classes are in English or Chinese. For Pakistani students, the total cost (including tuition and hostel) usually starts from 8 to 9 lakh PKR per year. This does not include food or travel costs like air tickets.

MBBS Course Duration

The MBBS program in China takes a total of six years to complete. This includes five years of classroom study and one final year of clinical internship in a hospital. The MBBS degree, also known as Clinical Medicine, is recognized by the WHO and WDOMS. This means international students can apply for medical licensing exams and are eligible to practice medicine or dentistry in many countries around the world.

MBBS in China on Scholarship

Chinese medical universities do not offer scholarships for MBBS or BDS programs at the time of admission. If a scholarship is awarded, it will be clearly mentioned in your official acceptance letter and will include the university’s stamp or seal.

However, many universities offer performance-based scholarships at the end of each academic year. These scholarships usually range from 5,000 RMB to 15,000 RMB and are awarded based on your academic results, class attendance, behavior, and involvement in extracurricular activities.

MBBS in China admission Requirements

International students applying for the Medicine Program (MBBS) in China must have a minimum of 60% in Senior High School/A-Levels/HSSC/WAEC. The age requirement is 16-25 years, although certain medical institutions permit students to register up to 30.

China does not require IELTS or TOEFL for admission to its medical programs. There are no entrance exams. In addition, students from Pakistan who are applying for the MBBS program in China must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in the MDCAT Exam.

 

MDCAT requirements

MDCAT is not required to get admission to China for MBBS, but to get a practice license in Pakistan after a qualifying Degree is required.

Bank Statement Requirements

Pakistani students applying for an MBBS study visa (X1) at the Chinese Embassy are required to submit a 6-month bank statement. This statement must show a minimum balance of 2 million to 4.5 million PKR in the student’s or guardian’s account. If the balance is less than this amount, the visa application may be rejected.
We strongly advise against using fake bank statements provided by untrustworthy agents, as this can lead to serious consequences.
